Taking great pride in its Western Victorian charm, Parker, Colorado was incorporated in 1981 and has its own historical society. The town is located in Douglas County southeast of Denver.
Outdoor Recreation
The Town of Parker is committed to providing a variety of recreational opportunities. In order to provide bicycle riders, walkers, joggers and equestrians with safe and enjoyable routes, the Town maintains approximately 12 miles of concrete paved, multi-use trails throughout the Town. The Cherry Creek trail, approximately 8 miles long, is the most significant trail resource in the Town, and extends from the Norton Farms Open Space in the north to Stroh Ranch Park in the south.
Parks
Parker has many parks ranging from O’Brien Park in the downtown area to the County’s Challenger Park adjacent to our Recreation Center. A new youth baseball field sponsored by the Colorado Rockies just opened at Salisbury Equestrian Park and a brand new outdoor pool facility just opened at O’Brien Park. In the future, the traditional horse uses at Salisbury will be improved
